Your assumptions about the story are equally wrong. You say that Samus speaks profusely now, but by my count Samus does not say a single thing in the trailer, which may I remind you once again is the only trailer you have seen in a game that is still in the middle of development. And no, Samus is not supposed to have some sort of secret identity. As seen specifically in Metroid Prime 3, pretty much everyone in the Federation knows who she is.

Graphics? Metroid is not about graphics, but regardless the graphics are fine. End of story. Art- wise is maintains the look of the series. The graphics will be touched up, and though your 'plastic toy' description is meaningless it probably won't even look like that to you once we see more of this game.

Your previous arguments are meant to support your one about atmosphere, but as none of them have any hint of validity this last component falls apart as well.

Yeah, I know. Can't say definitively that Samus says either of those lines. I'm inclined to believe that the woman in the lab coat says the last line, and that character is not Samus.

The interviewer likely would not have presumed that the woman was another Samus unless she was the one who said that line. That said the first line is spoken in a similar voice and so I'm not going to assume that Samus says it.

The scientist isn't the one who speaks. Watch the trailer. It is clearly Samus in the armor that is speaking. And why would the scientist say, "I am Samus Aran" when she's not.
And she looks nothing like Samus.
I believe that interview refers to the new Samus since she has changed tremendously in this game (shorter hair,etc)

Can't say for sure. Just because the camera is on Samus as you hear those lines doesn't mean she speaks them. Not saying that she doesn't say them, but you don't know. And no, the interview is referring to the woman at the end of the trailer.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions dude, what you saw was an early build.Just ask the GamePros, a lot of them were displeased or skeptical when they saw the Dragon Age: Origins trailer at E3, but during those few months, Bioware improved the game dramatically, surprising everyone. Give it some time. When the game gets closer to release and we actually have solid info and trailers, then decide.

2. Character design? How is this design any different from traditional Metroid fair? It is headed by the original Metroid guy (Yoshio Sakamoto) . . . this is how Metroid is supposed to look.
3. How is the gameplay? Give examples.
4. What exactly allows you to equate the gameplay to that of SSBB?
