In ny if you get caught with less than 3.0g (three dime bags) you get a ticket/violation. I believe littering carries harsher penalties. Once you get over that it adds "with intent to distribute" so you get hit a bit harder with a misdemeanor.

i find it funny that tommy chong sold like over 5000 bongs on the internet, got caught and only served 9 months in federal prison, but when someone gets caught in possession with weed, you're likely to serve the same amount of time.
i can see if you had a shit load on you, but if you had a small possession, that's kinda fucked up i think.

Nothing wrong with selling bongs. I used to do it at a flea market. Nothing illegal about it.
