  • I'm upgrading from a PSP Go to a PSP 3000

I seriously can't take it anymore, the PSP Go is a fucking piece of shit.

Last night, I purchased GTA: Vice City Stories which has become the final straw for my PSP Go ownership. The game lags at an unbearable rate, making it un-playable (Liberty City Stories has the same problem).

Sony, this is just ridiculous. First, you claim that digital games have all these pros over UMD, then you make false promises of a UMD transfer program, then you continue to watch the shitty hardware get even more shitty. You didn't even make sure the damn thing was supported by pubs/devs before you introduced it. I honestly cannot wait for a fix any longer, I'm selling my PSP Go for a PSP 3000.

Here's a nice article on a Chinese PSP Go knockoff, which actually has some better specs. For those of you who think that Sony designed the PSP Go, think again. Apparently, Sony just purchased a model that looked cool from a reliable manufacturer. Maybe if the company actually took the time to design their own product, we could've received the components we've been screaming for (like a 2nd analog or touch screen).

This is what happens when you let fanboyism control your wallet. I knew the PSP Go was overpriced and pointless (add a 16 gb stick to a PSP and you're digitally ready), but yet, I bought one anyways because I love Playstation. Imma moron.

I apologize for the angry thread... I do feel better, much better.

the only thing i'd ever use a PSP go for is music and movies, which my phone already does so a PSP Go is a waste in practically everything. i thought about buying one, because it has the microsd support, but $250 is too ridiculous. its no wonder the DS is such a success, that damn handheld never even went beyond the $200 tag, let alone the 175. Sony keeps bumping the price up with every new version of the PSP. jumping from a PSP-2000 to a 3000 is still terrible on a count of there's only like 2-3 features that the 3000 has over the 2000, so anyone who has a 2000 model should feel screwed.

ya, SOny did terrible

If they got a better build, and a cheaper price, I so would have snatched one

I do hope that they don't end the digital distribution thing to be honest

Handhelds are way better with digital distribution

I can't stand it when a company keeps on introducing multiple models on the same piece of hardware, especially when there's hardly any changes made besides the jacked-up price. Like the DS XL or LL or whatever seems like a waste.

I totally agree. Even though I bought hella games for my PSP Go, I can just re-download them when I get my PSP 3000 (whenever that may be).

I wasn't embracing the digital craze at first, but it's starting to grow on me.

And yes, DD is perfect for handheld gaming. Give me Virtual Console on my DS Nintendo!!!

the PSP Go has such a nice design to it i think. i like how its rounded more, and the slider is nice to have, but, that price tag man, its killin' me. its bad enough i have a dead PS3, so for $50 more i might as well just buy a new slim.

The PSP Go does have a cool design but its really not that comfortable. Using the triggers can have you fumbling the tiny thing in no time.

Yeah, what's the point in buying a tiny gaming device for $250 when you can get a powerhouse console that does 100x more stuff for only $50 more.
