Right towards the end of the game the dude who betrays you at the beginning is sitting down shot. He uses his dying breath to try and kill drake with a grenade. The whole game I though he was just a self serving prick who backstabbed drake for the money. Now when it seems like he got shitted on by the main evil Russian dude he goes and suicide bombs drake. Can anyone explain this?

He wasn't trying to kill Drake...he was trying to kill himself. Drake wasn't near him, he stayed far away.

ahhhh. It's like he would rather have died than face drake after having tried to kill him so much. Drakes chick just went down as collateral damage. That makes much more sense. One of the greatest stories in gaming. mgs4 could take a hint about telling the story during the gameplay instead of during cutscenes.

He does say that the russian dude took the pin from the grenade. So I'm assuming the russian dude was like....eff you buddy, and the ass hole wanted to kill everyone since Drake sorta stole Chloe from him.
