im surprised theres no thread like this on gamepro already.. well, here it is. imo, aion won't kill wow.. it seems too flashy, PvE is crap compared to WoW.. as for pvp (the more important aspect of it).. aion pvp seems like some flashy, boring fighting game. aion will be successful im sure, but not nearly enough to kill wow.. wow is just going to kill itself eventually, lol. anyway feel free to share your opinions

if you don't have to pay i might at least try it. when i get a good enough computer i'm gonna get Guild Wars 2. Fuck blizzard and WoW i say. $380 a year and now the game is shit. i want to play diablo 3 though.

I'm not really sure about Aion. It seems like it's trying to accomplish too much. In trying to be everything, it has a good possibility of turning out to be horrible. I mean come on,"PvPvE"?

And it's supposed to have no monthly subscription? How do they plan on providing me with a good service, with speedy connections and ample bandwidth, without paying for it? Who's going to pick up that cost?

The solo gameplay is way better in Aion I think (you actually have to make intelligent decisions when you fighting, or you'll die and lose exp). I doubt Aion will surpass WoW as far as endgame content goes.

I've lost hope in any "revolutionary" thing new MMOs provide: RvR, PvPvE, etc. They all seem to fail.

actually its $180 a year..... im guessing you hit 3 instead of 1......... but anyway, i agree, costs way too much to play wow... i played the 10 day trial and was not impressed enough to want to spend money on it... but D3 and SC2 ( blizzard titles) are going to own all... did you see that video on the SC2 map editor? that thing looked amazing....

oh and i don't understand why devs think they need to spend so much time on MMO graphics... no one plays an MMO because of its graphical beauty.... they play it because they want a single video game to consume their lives... when you make your MMO need a good gaming rig to play on, your really limiting your market share... especially because WoW is already so populated and it doesnt take much of anything in terms of processing, to play it...
