  • PSN Vs XBL - Let's Get it On!

Post a Reply

Okay, most of you now I am sometimes biased towards playstation, i'm not gonna lie. But when shit is wrong, then its wrong, regardless of my preference.

I dont understand why people still want to talk like psn is on xbl's level. NO ITS NOT! XBL is in a league of its own. Period. XBL= Psn times 2. Still no voice chat in games, no game invites, and not even voice messeges. And these are things xbl had day 1. I havent even started on the xbl update yet. The xbl update improved on an already great online experience, while sony still hasn't tried anything to fix their very flawed online system. The Nxe added a ton of shit. Parties, netflix, avatars, etc.

And even though they made gamers even MORE happy with the expansion of their already great online experience, they added YET ANOTHER update a couple of weeks ago, and just when you though they couldnt do anything to make it better, they're doing ANOTHER update this winter, including facebook, twitter, last.fm, sky, and other stuff. Thats 3 MAJOR updates to a great online experience. While sony hasnt even added 1 yet. So what do you think psn can add to make it on xbl's level in your opinions? I'll be happy with just cross game invites, cross game chat, and voice messages.

PSN runs on dedicated servers as opposed to LIVE that runs on the shitty Peer- 2 Peer servers.

xbox online experience is better, easier, etc.

psn is free.....

end result equals in my opinion.

Both have their strong and weak points. It really matters what the personal preference is of the gamer.

honestly, it boils down to your connection and the host's. Which shouldnt always be a problem. Psn lags just as much as xbl. Though it isn't down as much.

NOOOOO! If the personal preference of the gamer is the best online service, xbl is the way to go. And I really hate how people talk about the price. If you can afford a game a year, then you can afford live, which is less than the cost of a retail game. Hell if you can afford coffee every morning, then you can afford live. lol.

i guess you're right, but i have yet to see an exclusive game that goes over 30 players in one battlefield. Notable games that have a huge quantity of players are: Warhawk, Resistance 2, M.A.G, etc. I doubt the 360 can handle a whole bunch of people.

it's not about affordability though. it's about saving. the LIVE fee is $50/1 year. Just save $10 more and i can buy myself a new game.

Pay for your own internet connection while stopping to rely on your parents providing it for you, then you have no problems if its P2P or dedicated.

I love to squash this argument. Any game that usually has more than 16 people in it at one time mostly turns into a spamming, laggy and convoluted fuck fest with horrible spawns.
