F-Zero Maximum Velocity and Metroid Fusion were probably two of my favorite GBA games.

Final Fantasy VI (GBA) is amazing.
Same goes for Final Fantasy IV on either system.
Legend of Zelda PH is fun too.
358/2 Days is amazing but it comes out in September.

definitely look into the lion king for GBA, its like the snes version, its very good

If you don't mind playing games in Japanese, Jump Super Stars & Jump Ultimate Stars (my favorite game EVER) are both AMAZING (you can use gamefaqs or another site to translate). Also, Chrono Trigger is awesome, both Bleach fighters are great (though if you have to pick one, i recommend the first), and I shouldn't even have to say MarioKart. On GBA, AstroBoy is pretty damn good, and so is TMNT (the movie-based one, like a single player version of the old arcade games).
