Yes I'm bringing back the old rent vs buy debate, but these days I'm much more likely to just get games I want from gamefly with my 2 at time sub, rather than throw a lot of money down to buy.

And there are a lot of games coming out that I have to try. Especially when each game ends up costing about $2 each to rent, really opens up a lot of games.

whats your thoughts?

I don't rent games anymore. I conduct research online and elsewhere when in doubt, assuming a demo isn't available.

I'll wait for some games to go down in price, but I'm a buyer/collector, so no rentals for this guy.

I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff.

i havnt rented a game in over a year.... ive also had my 360 and wii for about 2 years, and only have like 10-12 games for each...

renting is much better and i gotta start more

simply because these games are short as hell take infamous it was one of the shortest games I got all the trophies played good/evil did all the side quest in little time its a great game but will i go back to it? probably not for a year+

For most games I think renting is perfect. Ghostbusters was a great rental. Fun to play but not one I want to own. There are few coming out that I will probably be buying. Gamefly sells games too so I guess it's kinda best of both worlds.

I've been on GameFly's 4-game plan for about a month now and I'm loving it. It's damn near impossible to get a newly-released game at a local rental retailer.

Lately, I've been buying used games like mad. I still purchase the same amount of games, but I've become very cheap.

They're some games that I'll reserve and buy on launch (i.e. Killzone 2, inFAMOUS).

I don't have that service were I live so if it's a game I'm not very interested in I'll wait until a friend of mine gets it and buys it.

I rent when there's a bunch of good games coming out.
But then i always feel ripped off when I go buy the full version.
Incidentally, I have 3 days left on a rent for infamous and I'm trying to get the platinum.
