Just change your TV seetiong sharper and you can see what I am talking about.

Both consoles upconvert game you silly goose. Just like on 360 most PS3 games are coded at 720p or in some cases less.

Jesus Christ Spikey...

Im ending this 1080p argument.

My pc monitor does 1200p over VGA well before the ps3 even launched. End of discussion.

now that our $$ is strong against the US $$ i am getting pc and monitor imported.....i can save like almost $1200

The ps3 didn't invent some magical HD resolution that only it can do. Hell nowadays you can buy a cheap 50.00 video card for your pc and get a higher resolution...........................OVER VGA.

HDMI is just basicly for copy protection. If you run the ps3 into a 1080p set that does not have HDCP then your expensive bluray movie will be downgraded. Even though you have the almighty ps3, the almighty bluray, HDMI cable, and a 1080p television or monitor.

Most sets made now have HDCP built in though.

I want to build a new one but Im just gonna wait. I dont need it I just want one, LOL. I recently put a new quad in my rig though. Saw some nice improvements. I want a new video card but waiting for the prices to go down because none of my games are slow.

Go as big as you want. But the main thing is the resolution. I want one of those 30 inch monitors that have the insane resolutions. But the higher resolution you play at the more taxing it is on your system. You dont have to play at the highest resolution but it is nice. My next purchase will be either a dell/or gateway 30 inch monitor.

But right now I would say get a nice 22-24inch monitor. The 22inches usually play at 1680x1050 and the 24's usually play at 1920x1200.

And PS3 does not do true 1080P for all but one game...same for 360.

yeah, I want one for other reasons than gaming. I use my pc for music also. I used to have a dual monitor setup now I only use one. A higher resolution monitor will be great for me as I can get more on the screen.
