SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea fired two short-range missiles from its east coast Tuesday -- a day after conducting a nuclear test -- South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported, citing a South Korean official.

"The North is continuing its saber-rattling," the unnamed official said.

The firings came a day after the reclusive communist state conducted a nuclear test and fired another short-range missile.

"We should be clear that these are short-range missiles. They are in the realm of anti-ship or anti-aircraft missiles, not missiles designed to target cities or other country population centers," said analyst Daniel Pinkston of the International Crisis Group, which describes itself as an independent non-profit group committed to preventing and resolving deadly conflict.

The U.N. Security Council condemned Monday's nuclear test as a "clear violation" of international law.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. Uh... If North Korea nukes Japan, that means no more PS3's, no more Wii's, and we'll only have Xbox 360 and American Cars to buy.

Seriously, people keep trying to get me worried about 2012. Personally, I can't see how acknowledging that it'll happen has any effect on the outcome. If or when it does happen, I'll be laying out in my snow covered yard with a drink in my hand and a smile on my face.

Why is our Goverment surprised that North Korea is "in clear violation" of anything? Their goalo is to kill us all eventually by starting a Nuclear War, so all we should be doing is trying to build our own weapons first...win the race.

When do we learn?

People care too much about North Korea and their nukes. We have nukes, China has nukes, Russia has nukes, and basically all first-world countries have nukes. The only reason we've decided North Korea isn't allowed to have nukes is because, well, we don't like them very much.

Besides, North Koreans aren't stupid enough to launch an unprovoked nuclear assault on anyone. If they attack Japan, they've screwed themselves, because the entire West will then be out to get them. If they attack the U.S., or any other Western country (except maybe Mexico), they've done the same thing for the same reasons.

The worst case scenario would be Russia and China allying against the West, but that's less likely than most people think. Russia doesn't trust China, and China doesn't trust Russia. They would be more likely to fight against each other than with each other.

Secretly, the odds of nuclear war are slim. Everyone is well aware of the risks involved, and everyone is quite afraid of blowing up the whole world. However, no one is afraid enough not to have nukes "for self-defense... just in case."
