I wanted to pose this question just to see what people think in General. What do you prefer? Online or local multiplayer and why?

Does the fact that a lot of games no longer include local bug anyone?

For one I like them both but local is more fun. Something about hanging out with real people just seems more appealing then playing with random people and having to listen to or mute ( depending on your preference ) all of the chat that goes one.

Just curious to see what the response is

This user is completely without Sig... Sigless. Not at all Siggy wit' it. This is an ex-Sig.

Local multiplayer is a lost art. Getting three (or more) of your friends to play awesome games like Goldeneye, Poy Poy, Smash Bros., Tennis 2K2, or just about any wrestling title was fantastic. You got the best trash-talking, the actual looks of defeat from your friends (or victory), and it seriously made things more exciting.

Online multiplayer is fun enough, but it lacks the magic of a crowded living room.

I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff.

in my opinion local, nothing's better than playing videogames with your friends while being in the same room, sure online is fun but doesn't compare to local IMO

You got it. Plus you could do things besides yelling to distract each other. I just have a hard time getting motivated to

Nothing beats that lol. Especially when it gets down to throwing things

lol yeah, ahh good times, you can't do that online haha

Online multiplayer has the advantage of convenience, but local multiplayer tends to be more fun considering it's like having a party.

Historians say ninjas disappeared hundreds of years ago, but some say they just got better......

You've said it all.

Id rather play local useing 2 systems, 2 TVs & a link cable than online.
But im not much of a fan of split screen.
Online is ok but the problem is the people & if they got mics it makes it worse more often than better.
I used to say the best & worst part of diablo2 was playing online.
If people online didnt act like 6 year old children so often it be great, most gamers have no honor.
