I'll admit it. First time in months (maybe years) that I walked out of a movie thoroughly satisfied. Very fun, great acting choices, and many actors steal scenes perfectly.

Anyone else like it?

Deep down, everyone's a cat lady.

Now let me also point out...

There's a difference between Star Trek and Wolverine Origins. Star Trek is a genuinely fun, relatively thought out movie, with very few flaws. It's funny, it's enjoyable, and it's a push in the right direction for the franchise. You can also tell that actual, genuine effort was put into this film. What a novel concept!

But Wolverine Origins is just a shit fest. An absolute shit fest. They just do things that aren't cool, nor do they make sense. Yet you all blindly follow them. For instance, Wolverine blocked a blast of energy from "deadpool" (who we should all know isn't actually deadpool) by "absorbing it with his claws." HOW THE FUCK IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?! The energy would go right through them! It's a very stupid movie, with little put into it.

If you have a choice, watch Star Trek.

Deep down, everyone's a cat lady.

Im no trekkie and I only ever saw a few episodes of Star Trek the next generation when I was 9, I've never seen the original series but I know the impact and often can recognize when its been referred to by numerous movies and other Tv shows.

Anyway long story short I loved it, saw it in imax and just couldn't believe how funny it was, chris pine played kirk brilliant as did the rest of the cast. I loved Karl Urban's character as well as simon pegg's but then again whenever you see that man in a scene you know something funny will happen.

A lot of people clapped and laughed at certain moments obviously referring to the original series such as certain lines, the green alien but none got a bigger pop then the original spock himself my god man it was thunderous I saw @ least 10 people do the vulcan sign.

IMO it walked a tight rope of being faithful and bringing in new fans with old faces redone for more current times. Spock's story was very interesting as well as kirk's but seeing them go head to head and trade blows, wits......Was great to see. The only problem I had when leaving the cinema was realizing a sequel won't be out tommorow lol.

So, IMAX is sold out for tonight, do I just see it in a normal theater tonight, or do I wait til next weekend to see it in IMAX?

I will see it tomorrow. I am not a die hard fan of Star Trek but I enjoy it nonetheless. Judging by the trailer, the movie does look good. I saw a funny interview this morning with Kirk's and Spock's actor. Spock also is Sylar on Heroes, btw but I am sure that anyone who watches Heroes knows that.

This user is completely without Sig... Sigless. Not at all Siggy wit' it. This is an ex-Sig.

I never like the television series, but I really want to see this movie.

This Star Trek will appeal to many more people than it would have if they stayed true to the series. I'm excited to see it though.
