The Lucha Libre is incredible. I remember back on WCW Monday Night Nitro the luchadors would steal the show everytime they a 6 man lucha libre rules tag match.

Japan has some crazy high flyers aswell but I'm not sure if those guys are retired now or what. The ones whose names I can remember right now off hand is Hayabusa & Jushin Thunder Lyger. Real dare devils of the ring & its a few more but I dont remember the names. I would really enjoy seeing Mexican luchadors vs the Japanese high flyers in a 6 man luchador rules match.

Lyger is a legend.. still an active wrestler for New Japan Pro Wrestling and has wrestled occassionally on TNA, Hayabusa was pretty good too, but unfortunately suffered a career ending injury a few years ago, messing up a lionsault and landing directly on his head, fracturing his neck and paralyzing him I think from the waist down. Japanese wrestling, like Mexican wrestling is a lot more dangerous than what you see in WWE. In Japan it's taken a lot more seriously.. they take a lot more risks and don't pull their punches as much, and take INSANE bumps that you'll likely never see in a WWE ring.. moves like the Ganso Bomb, Orange Crush and Tiger Driver '91.
I agree with you JPThunder, from the japanese matches I saw wrestling in Japan is treated more like a legitimate sport rather than how in the US people refer to it as sports entertainment. I didnt know Hayabusa suffered a career ending injury. He was a maniac in the ring. I saw a japanese wrestler do his version of Go To Sleep & his own puts CM Punk's to shame. He throws his knee like a kick after he pushes an opponent up off his shoulders. Also I dont know how true it may be but I heard about a match Vader did in Japan where I'm not sure if it was one of his eyes came out or one of his opponent's eyes.

In February 1990, Vader faced another notoriously dangerous wrestler in [Stan Hansen at an All Japan versus New Japan supercard show. The two exchanged very hard punches, and one of them caused White's right eye to actually pop out of its socket, although it was contained by the swelling in his eyelid.
