Hey guys, need a little help from some of you experienced pc gamers out there...
Here's my problem, I just recently upgraded my pc and I actually took it to a shop and had a "computer professional" put in some more RAM and install a new graphics card. I mainly upgraded my pc to play WoW, but I finally bought a couple other games, after the fact that the guy told me I could play prettty much play any game out there now that I upgraded. (said I should be able to play Crisis on at least medium settings) Anyway, I bought Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition and Company of Heroes. When I put the game in the computer, it doesn't read the disk at all, says to insert disk. The thing is that I can put music cd's and movies in my drive and it reads it with no problems. I even installed WoW from a disk without any problems, so what gives? I went to the website "Can I run it" and my computer easily passes all the tests and surpasses the recommendated settings. Here's my pc specs; Dell Inspiron 531s, AMD Sempron Processor 3600+ 2.01 GHz single core, 5 gigs of RAM, 32-bit operating system, with a Radeon HD 4550 512mb/ddr3 graphics card. Don't really know what all this techincal mumbo jumbo is but I'm sure you guys do, so any help would be appreciated... Thanks.

So, the WoW disk works, but Battlefield doesn't? If that's the case, my first guess would be that there's something wrong with the disk itself.
Do all of your other disk-based PC games work properly?
Yeah it's clean, it plays my CD's and DVD's...
It doesn't play either of those 2 games that I listed earlier , usually my pc will autorun disks. I can play older games though like age of empires 2, Fallout 1&2.... Hmmm'

Are you sure the PC isn't reading them? It might just be that they aren't autorunning.

If that solves his problem, I would have to laugh.
You guys all suck. You haven't even pointed out how he can't use 2GB of his RAM due to his operating system...even if that's not the problem.

But that's (most likely) not the problem.
Well if anyone has some spare cash laying around then sure I'll go get a new pc... Any yes I went to the my computer and manually clicked on the DVD drive and why wouldn't autorun work on those games if it works on any and every disc I put in my pc. Wow thanks for all the critism folks, we all know that really helps my situation out... Whom ever called me "stupid", can go to hell. I bet you learned everything you know about pc's in the first month too huh? So I guess you call newborn babies for not being able to walk or talk too right? Everbody has to start out somehow, and the best way to learn something is from learning from someone that has experience... So if you don't want to help just simply ignore my friggin' topic and don't waste my time with your BS criticising comments and grow the hell up...
