I find it interesting that one of the things he singled out as wasteful spending was the volcano monitoring project. Considering there are a few active volcanoes in the United States which have communities nearby them, I have no issue with spending that money to keep our fellow citizens safe.

Actually i believe Mt. Saint Helens Killed 57. And the Islands are part of the US too.
