Last night I downloaded the 1.40 GB Halo Wars Demo. I honestly think that's the larges demo I have downloaded from XBOX Live. I love RTS games for the PC and not for consoles. I palyed the complete demo, great video of the story line and controls were not as bad as some other RTS games I have played on the 360.

If you are looking at buy Halo Wars I would recommend playing the demo first. And if you hate RTS games on the 360 just try out the demo and see how well the controls are for this one.

Even tho the game play was good and the video was great I will still have to pass on Halo Wars unless it comes to the PC.

The fact that my 360 got RROD again makes me sad for the first time.

I just find no pleasure in RTS games for PC or consoles, they give me no enjoyment. Unlike many of my friends, I don't find it fun to "Win" a game, or beat somebody else, rack up points or anything else associated with competitive online gaming. Screaming kids with voices that haven't changed yet, or worse are in the middle of changing gets on my last fucken nerve.

Don't care about being "better" or "worse" then anyone else and really resent the fact that multiplayer and co-op is trumping quality single player games on all consoles...... I hate playing Gears, Halo, MGS, COD, or any other online clusterfuck of a game.The single player campaigns are another story, those I enjoy.

The new Killzone 2 demo even manages to make the single player feel like your playing an annoying online romp with way too much goings on at once., don't like it...

I also resent and hate the new RE5 demo with the oh so annoying Sheva up your ass and in your way 90% of the time. I cancelled my pre-order....

I'm still on the fence about Killzone 2.....the aiming is atrocious just like the first game and will probably cancel that one too......

RTS games look terrible and play worse. I'm glad you like it, but no matter what I do, I'm pretty sure that nothing could change my mind about this particular genre of games... I'll stick with my story driven single player games even though they are dying breed, and being squeezed out of the picture to make room for all of this ( very much the same) online crap.

Being number 3 isn't so bad... yeah right.

i really want this game i reserved the special edition but i still need to play the demo

that's terrible. If it's over 3 years your better off buying a new arcade for $50 more with the new Jasper chip and putting on your old hard drive. They come with two new games which you sell back to Gamestop immediately and you end up only spending $30 to 40 dollars more then you would if you were to get it fixed.

I have been very lucky. My 360 never had issues , but my PS3 was sent in after 6 months but has been fine ever since......my Wii is like a rock.

Remember, never EVER set up any of your consoles vertically ( including the Wii ), someone did an infrared video showing that heat cannot escape as well when the consoles are up and down. You can see with the color that all 3 consoles stay pretty dam hot.

i unfortunately had rented a game from Hollywood Video and the sticker that was on the game( which they put on every game )fell off into my system and fried the motherboard. took it back to GameCrazy, they exchanged it at no problem. AND b/c it was after the 1st price drop, i got the Elite exchange for $20 :-D

AFTER THAT, i realized that whatever price you bought it for is what is returned. so i powere cycled the console and made it fail, took my elite back and got another, and getting back another $80 :-D x2! lol i know, i was exploiting the system ;-)

but on topic, PLAY THE FREAKING DEMO, IT ROCKS!!!!!! and if you wanna play as Spartans( which are an Army by themselves ), you have to play Skirmish for now. and the ODST troppers are kewl! just build enough, and you get to drop them in the hot spot for back up! build a good mobile group of vehicles and a Elephant, and your Elephant can drop troops, its like a mobile base! you have to hit "Y" to make it stationary 1st, but after that, if you dont have Spartans ready, just click the Elphant and click it, you get up to 3. im going to play the Covenant side tmrw. ENSEMBLE has done it again, made a great freakin game!

not a fan of RTS games but i want to see the story so i will probably rent it or wait for a price drop. the controls were ok but i just dont find these games all that fun

I am buying my first 360 here in the next two weeks I think. It is going to be an Elite. Now this should solve all the problems with the previous versions of the 360 correct?

This game is nice. I started a skirmish and had an army pf ODST, Spartan, and Flame troops with Scorpion tanks and Wolverines supporting. LOL. It was pure DESTRUCTION.
