  • I feel like a noob... Is that normal?

In July 2008, I got my first home console, a pc. Last November I purchased an xbox 360. I play Call of Duty, my favorite game on both, and I have terrible K/D ratios. I have , like a 3 to 4. Every time I play I feel as if it is my first day. Why have I not improved?

Is this how you felt in your first year of gaming?

Am I never going to improve, or am I still in infancy?

You'll get better. If you're new to gaming in genreal, you have to remember that many of your opponents have many years of experience on you.

Some may even have a decade or two, so don't worry about it. You'll get better in time. Chances are, this isn't their first online game, so they've played enough games to have much needed experience.

It takes a long time.

If it makes you feel any better, I just got done playing two rounds Socom 1 on the PS2, and I was getting destroyed. Granted, I haven't played it in months, but I've put many hundreds of hours playing it in the past. You've just gotta get used to it. Eventually you'll get good enough reflexes in the game to start doing better. It's like anything else, you've just gotta practice, and that means playing it a lot.

I say f*ck the K/D ratio i'm in it for two things

1. Get as many kills as possible and
2. In CTF get as many Captures as possible

I'm not perfect but i don't make mistakes twice.

I love going to the map with all of the rocks and the caves that look like they were made to be mines. I just sit at the enterance where the rocks are and i just hide there and pick people off one by one it owns especially when it's one vs one sudden death.
