I gotta admit, as much of a nintendo fan that I am and as much as I want the Wii to be successful, I was really starting to be let down at the lack of interesting Wii games coming out this past 6 months. As much as I hate this phrase, it's true that my Wii was starting to *cringe* "collect dust." But looking at the 2009 lineup, it looks like Nintendo will be giving me a reason to go back to playing the Wii on a regular basis again. Hardcore gamers in particular should be happy about the release list for this year. Here's the notable games that will be out sometime in 09...

Rygar: The Battle of Argus, Deadly Creatures, House of the Dead Overkill, Little King's Story, Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop, Pikmin (New Play Control), Mario Tennis (New Play Control), Tenchu 4, Mad World, Sonic and the Black Knight, Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templar, Rune Factory: Frontier, Ghostbusters, The Conduit, Final Fantasy CC: Echoes of Time, Cursed Mountain, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Fatal Frame IV, Guitar Hero: Metallica, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle (possibly 2010), Overlord: Dark Legend, Punchout, Sin and Punishment 2, Fragile, Spyborgs, Tecmo Bowl, Wii Sports Resort, Final Fantasy CC: Crystal Bearers

These are mostly third party titles because as we all know nintendo is pretty quiet about their releases until their games are well into developement, so chances are we'll be getting stuff like Kid Icarus, a new Pikmin, maybe even a new Zelda as the end of the year.

What's your take on this release list? Good? Dissapointing? What games are you interested in (if any)?

cmon man you are stretching it...........nintendos games suck mate, a couple of gems but majority really suck.....

how am I stretching it? Habve you bothered to look into any of these games? Most of them look pretty good.. Too many damn sony fanboys on this site, it's sickening..

As for the list (It's amazing). I'm looking forward to most of them.
Here's my top 5:
1.) The Conduit
2.) Secret Zelda Title
3.) Madworld
4.) Fatal Frame IV
5.) Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop (I loved the RE4 control scheme and I'm sure I would love this).
As for your comment on Sony games (yes, it's true because "SonyPro" is filled w/ Sony fanboys and many times we see useless/meaningless/dumb Sony threads swarming Gamepro. (I still love the PS3, though) Just don't listen to the fanboys.

So sue me.. At least I'm willing to admit when Nintendo's made mistakes, and they have made their share. There are plenty of people on this site that praise MS and ESPECIALLY Sony far more than I defend Nintendo. But sadly it's become acceptable and the norm on this site to be a Sony or MS fanboy but simply saying positive things about nintendo now and them dubs you a nintendo fanboy. Go figure.
