  • Red Faction Gurrellia maxes out 360?

Volition claims that they maxed out the 360. I do recall that Red Faction really did push the PS2 to it's limits so this might not be anything new when it comes to Volition. See page 3 for the comments about maxing out the 360.

Pac-Man, Galaga, and New Rally-X: Ageless classics!

I'm sure Sony fanboys wil rejoice about this claiming that their PS3 has all the power in the world but the funny thing is that power might never be 100% tapped because it's a headache to develop for the PS3.

On the other hand, the X-Box 720 announcement might not be that far off (2010 I believe).

What a joke. Have you seen pics of the game? It looks like crap and they say it maxed out the Xbox360. LOL
The game looks no where as good as Farcry and yet we hear another ame dev saying how a game is maxed out. LOL
He also refers to this in MEMORY not power.
But alas more Dev PR crap. What will be funny is when both versions come out and if they look the same LOL

Yeah, I read that earlier. Basicly they are saying they have run out of on board memory (512mb). Doesn't the ps3 have the same amount? And we have seen games look better and do alot on both consoles, I'll take it with a grain of salt. But then again, Im not a programmer.

I think it has more to do with putting the game on one disc than it has to do with the hardware. This is an open world game and more than one disc is a no no.

I honestly say 2011 would be the earliest release year for the next xbox. Holidays 2011

If this game looked like Gears 2 or MGS4 or Uncharted or Crysis or KZ or Bioshock, then i could agree with what this guy has said. But you look at Red Faction and it looks like shit compared to the games i just listed.
This reminds me of the same ranting that Factor 5 did before LAIR was released. He was claiming that the game engine for LAIR was vastly superior to the Unreal Engine 3 and looked better and could not be done on the Xbox360. Another game dev saying shit to sell and hype the up coming game...LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO LAIR AND THE COMPANY AND HOW SHITTY THE TEXTURES LOOKED IN THAT GAME

That's what he said. The next gen systems need at least 2gigs of system memory.

Don't they claim like every 3rd game has "maxed out" the 360? I will ignore all such 360 bashing until I see a ps3 game that is sooooooo "shit your pants" amazing that could not possibly be done on the 360.

Yup. You nailed it. The only "SHIT YOUR PANTS AMAZING GRAPHICS" that has come out this generation has been on the PC and not the consoles. Its called Crysis and Crysis Warhead and no games on the console come close. Not even KZ2.
So until i see a game on the console that can have the sheer amount of texture detail and color and FULL destructible enviroments like Crysis, then all this max crap is bs.

Everyone's maxed out the the 360, Epic did it with Gears 2, that new game RAGE the devs are claiming they're maxing it out (because of disc space). Everyone's claimed to have max out the 360. YAWN... LoL, If the games keep looking as good as they do at the 360's limits then I'm not disappointed.
