I am playing through Fallout 3 right now. So far it has been better than I was expecting. There seems to be infinite possibilities and side quests. I heard Left 4 Dead is a really short game with great replay value. That being said, I cannot see myself playing through Fallout again. If I were you I would get them both, but Left 4 Dead first before the online community gets smaller.
