Does anyone have one of these? I asked my Grandparents for one. So hopefully I get it. :)

I have one. I use it to play Brawl online and occasionally watch Youtube videos on TV.
It's a pain in the ass to use though. Firewalls aren't exactly nice to it, and if you have multiple users on the same computer, you'll often have to re-configure your settings whenever someone logs on while you're online.

Why did Nintendo stop using it, and when will there be a new one?

Wii has built in WiFi. Why do you need a connector?

Well somehow you have to connect to the internet.

Wii has a built in wireless internet receiver.

That is correct. I have a linksys upstairs for my computer and I use it to hook up to the internet downstairs for my Wii. Works Fantabulouse.
yes it has built in Wifi. That doesnt mean you have instant access to the internet. You still need a wireless network for the Wii to connect to and that is where the USB connector comes in. You plug it into your PC and you have a wireless network to connect you Wii to... They stopped making it to bring out a different type of network adapter. The new one plugs into your router and creates a network for you.

I already had a wireless set up in my home. It's cheaper that way. I can connect my laptop, desktop (already connected) and Wii. Also, if I get a PS3 I can connect that without buying yet another attachment.

They stopped using it because it's a pretty terrible product. Firewalls really don't like it, and if you have multiple users on the computer, you have to reconnect every time they log on. So if you're in the middle of a game online, and someone else logs on the computer, you get disconnected and you have to reconnect all over again.
It also tends to act up often. For me, I have to plug it in as soon as I log on or else my computer will deny it access.
I would get a LAN adapter, but my Router is far away, and it's not wireless.
