I think it would be funny as hell to see. Also this bailout thing is a slippery slope that should not have been started.

I agree, everyone is gonna be begging for a bail out. How is this funny, though? You want to see everything fall apart?

What you dont think it would be funny to see sony, philips, panasonic and all them other HDTV producers begging for bailouts? I think its funny..

That would be quite funny, considering some LCD manufacturers just plead guilty to price fixing.

I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff.

Best Buy will benefit greatly from Circuit City's demise. Without the main competition, Best Buy will see a boost in business now. Plus, the holiday season is right around the corner (2 weeks). I'd say Best Buy is crossing their fingers on these two things.

I bet you 12 golden cookies it won't.

Keebler? Wait and see. What is going to happen is that stores are going to continue the down slide, the auto industry is going to collapse and the domino effect is going to continue. By this time next year the national unemployment rate will be double digits. Look at what is happening.. The big 3 automakers are going to run out of money in 2009, Circuit City is banckrupt, best buy is in trouble. Tim Hortons just announced its closing a bunch of stores....Its a landslide right now with no end in sight. Full on depression in 2009, watch and see.

That's why I'm going to head for the hills and join the Airforce Numo. Guns and military are the only things that will see any growth in the near future. WWIII anyone?

I only shop at walmart, LOL. Groceries, electronics (except Newegg.com, and Buy.com, and Mwave.com and of course ebay). Clothes I mainly shop at steinmart, Jc penny, or Dillards.

Where did you see sales were down? what I read they said that they were just cutting their forecast for the future...they actually did well over their last quarter or whatever...maybe I read that wrong

I believe in karma. That means I can do bad things to people all day long and I assume they deserve it...i LOVE this place!

I will NEVER get electronics from Walmart, cheap ass shit that will not last...they force their suppliers to cut to many corners to keep their costs down.

wulfshelmut wrote:I have heard about this on the news. Best buys not doing well. I think its sales are down. Anyways I found this news article. It tells about BBs problems and that only 1/3 pf US homes have HDTVs and sales are slowing. I found a few articles but I think this one was the best.

You know Best Buy sells more than just HDTV's, right?
