It's ok, I totally understand if you delete this thread. I do this because, regardless of the attitude of some replies, people do get in touch, which means they are interested. And by blocking such a thread admins are in a way doing a disservice to their own users. But such behavior can get out of hand, so ya, it's all to the discretion of the admins.
And who says I don't contact reviewers directly?

I couldn't disagree more. I don't think blocking this thread does a disservice to our users. You're coming in and basically advertising your site in our forums. I think as an employee of the company that owns this forum and site, I'm in the clear to delete your thread without pause.
However, the reason why I offered to allow the users to decide is precisely because we are trying to keep our users' needs in mind. We are a community here and our first and foremost concern is maintaining a forum site that our users appreciate and like.
So, if they want this thread to be closed, I'll close it. If not, then it can live. But please understand that you are in the wrong here. You're not doing our readers a service so much as you are advertising a site that is looking to compete with our own.
