I'm thinking so. I've never heard of GC's crappin out. Let me recommend some titles to you:

Pikmin
Super Mario Sunshine
Double Dash
Viewtiful Joe
RE 4
F-Zero GX (awesome but hard)
Wave Race
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Rouge Squadron 2 (not 3, stay away from 3)
Luigi's Mansion

After I bought my Wii, I was surprised at how many good titles the GC had. I spent more money on GC games than anything else. If I were you, I would buy a Wii. Not for Wii games, but the GC capability and Virtual Console makes it worth $250.

yep i was watching this show a few years ago when the camecube was still making games and they dropped it from i think 10 feet maybe 20 and it still worked

actually all three last gen's consoles were like tanks and took alot if hits(compared to this gen's consoles)

I think they did that on X-play, and yeah these new consoles are made of bubblegum compared to the previous gen's.

Lol, I believe it. You don't have to mishandle the current consoles to have them break on you. The PS2 was the only console of mine that crapped out. My NES, Genesis and N64 still work perfectly.

Thats not a bad price.
Refurbs are supposed to be ok but i bought a refurb xbox & it only lasted around 200 hours of use.
If i was you i'd buy a used GC on ebay with a gameboy player & a few games. That would run you around 50-70$
But if there was no GB player i wouldnt hardly ever play a GC for the systems "normal" games.
Alot of the nintendo titles on the system were weak like the luigi mansion its too short like a long demo & its bla,
mario sun shine is just a pain in the ass & wind waker is just pyramid dungeons ang is drug out with the ocean parts.. at least the games are Cheap they should be.

Its the used systems at GS that tend to come with 3rd party controllers but these days that wouldnt be the case.

QFT. I dropped my Wii from chest height three times already. And I'm 5'8 or 5'9...I forget. Anyway, and it still works like it's spankin' new! And my GameCube...man....I abused it. I can't remember how many times I dropped and kicked it on purpose.

Just get a Wii, it plays GC games anyhow. But yeah it's totally reliable. I've never known one to fail.

Only for the times I kicked it. I kicked it like 5 times. Twice on purpose. And both times I kicked it so hard that I could've made it go inside a goal on a soccer field from the penalty line.
