Ok so here I am, I am in the city known as Little Lamplight. I know where I need to go but it won't let me activate the pulley's to open the gate to vault 87. Anyone have any suggestions? Getting mighty frustrated over here.

Could try restarting the Xbox? Seeing if it's just a random glitch.
I think its just someone i havent talked to yet. Kind of annoying cause its the only way I can get there. I can't go above ground, too much radiation..
IM fucked too. I am at 1 health about to be killed by a dog in tranquility lane. And Both my load points are after I got attacked.
There has to be non conatminated water at tranquility. And a word of wisdom, dont attack betty, he will kill you instantly.

I am out of there, quite a bit beyond. With out any spoilers I think I am a few hours ahead of you. Headed to Vault 87, and stuck as hell.

Talk to the mayor and choose the first option (I think).
