And now, after I heard his statements about DC Comics, I now hate him.The Dark Knight was also overrated, but not nearly as much as Iron Man. The Dark Knight was also just an action movie, and nowhere near a masterpiece. It should have ended like 20 times. Ledger was awesome, but my bias towards Bale and Michael Caine have me giving them the vote for stealing the show. Now, I'm not saying that this movie wasn't amazing....I mean, come on.....Christian Bale is in it.
My definition of a "film," is something that really is a work of artistic genius. Something that shows real feeling was put into it. Something that can just use it's story to move things along, and not rely on action scenes for this. And when there is action, it actually makes sense, and fits the story. Something that can actually make you feel for the characters. Some examples of what I call films are; "There Will Be Blood," "Rescue Dawn," "Casino Royale," "Requiem for a Dream," "The Fountain," and "Gone Baby Gone."
So, I would not classify either of these movies, "films."
Winner: The Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight was more overrated.
