You're not biglesbian46, dated 2008-03-08? Or how about Chaplin part of the MKDR Council dated 2008-03-01? Definately not RADE6 dated 2008-06-29. According to the roster, many of the MKDR members defend you to no end.

Omg Dark Knight for sure!! Heath Ledger was amazing! It was so different then everything he has ever done and during the movie you forget who that is playing that part. I mean I love Iron Man, it was bad ass but Dark Knight has it beat. Robert had to play a rich guy...... Heath played a psychotic lunatic

Is this actually a question?

I thought it was a joke...

The Dark Knight is far better than Iron Man. Iron Man has no depth, just another action movie.

The Dark Knight was also overrated, but not nearly as much as Iron Man. The Dark Knight was also just an action movie, and nowhere near a masterpiece. It should have ended like 20 times. Ledger was awesome, but my bias towards Bale and Michael Caine have me giving them the vote for stealing the show. Now, I'm not saying that this movie wasn't amazing....I mean, come on.....Christian Bale is in it.

My definition of a "film," is something that really is a work of artistic genius. Something that shows real feeling was put into it. Something that can just use it's story to move things along, and not rely on action scenes for this. And when there is action, it actually makes sense, and fits the story. Something that can actually make you feel for the characters. Some examples of what I call films are; "There Will Be Blood," "Rescue Dawn," "Casino Royale," "Requiem for a Dream," "The Fountain," and "Gone Baby Gone."

So, I would not classify either of these movies, "films."

Winner: The Dark Knight.

HOLY SHITE!! Somebody else say the fountain. I loved the FOunatin. So original and it really made you think about it. I have watched that movie like 20 times.

It's a tied by me. Ironman had better action but Dark Knight had a better story

Iron man is not even close to The Dark Knight. Iron man is the same recycled plot of all the marvel movies just with better acting. And the action was not better than Dark Knight at all. It was very entertaining yes, but with repeat viewings it gets old fast. The Dark Knight gets better every time. The action scenes rival that of top action movies, mainly the bank heist and the chase/truck flip. The overall acting in TDK is better with a brilliant performance by Ledger and very good performances by Bale, Eckhart and Oldman. Iron man has a great performance from Downer Jr. and Paltrow was good, but other than that nothing special. And the Dark Knight's story was just so much deeper. Here is the question to ask, which one is being re-released in January to get more recognition by the the Academy to win some oscars, The Dark Knight. Iron man is a fun action movie nothing more, The Dark Knight is a whole lot more.

What more is The Dark Knight? All the points everybody made are great. The Dark Knight did not have as much action as most of you all said. Iron Man had the action I was craving for. What are we suppose to expect? These are comic book movies and we should expect nothing but action. Someone earlier on this post said that The Dark Knight should of ended like 20 times, which I agree with. Robert Downey Jr. did an excellent job for playing the role a Tony Stark knowing from all the struggles he had in the past with drugs. Most people would agree that Bale played a good Bruce Wayne, but when transformed in Batman his voice was just a little annoying. I like that idea that one person said that these are not consider films like Casino Royale etc, but we really could not compare those type of movies to these because of the different genres they are in. I respect what you said and I plan on checking out those films that you named. This is a serious question and I do like the feedback it is getting.

My mom says im cool

There were more scenes of Downey jr falling on his ass than there were action scenes. Action scenes in iron man were break out of cave, go back and save city, fight against jeff bridges. That is three with the last one being not very good. Dark Knight had the bank heist, hong kong, penthouse, funeral, chase, saving harvey, hospital, and the ferries. That is a lot more action than iron man. Just because it is the comic book genre, does not mean it need to be a blend of action and humor with a shallow plot. Read the Long Halloween and the Killing Joke and to read a serious graphic novel to see what the movie was made from. TDK is not just a generic comic book movie. Here are things in the movie that change that: The girl is murdered, the villain wins, batman has to become an outlaw etc... what other comic movie has this happened in, none! The Dark Knight is a crime drama based off a comic.
