My most favorite RPG is the Xenosaga series. This was the first game I became attached to the characters in the game.

I like action RPG's, not fully fledged Xenosaga stuff.

I enjoy Oblivion, Fable....things like that.

Final Fantasy X. Got me into the whole thing, and it was fun to play through.

Best one I've played this gen. is Lost Odyssey with Mass Effect being a close second. I liked LO more than ME because it was so much more epic. LO is a giant game and ME is tiny when it comes to RPGs. My playthrough of Lost Odyssey was 150 hours. I probably could have completed it in 75 or so but I really was thorough and got every achievement except for one. My first playthrough of ME was app. 15 hours. That is a huge damned difference! I eventually played through Mass Effect on 3 different difficulty settings and got the completionist achievements. Despite all 3 playthroughs being added together I still logged only app. 70 hours in the game and a good portion of that was spent on the lame and barren uncharted worlds to get the completionist achievements. The problem with Mass Effect is that a huge chunk of disc space went to the dialog and there wasn't much room left for environments. This is one game where I will fully admit that the limitations of DVD9 were a big problem. But damn, Lost Odyssey is a fantastic game imo. I think it's the most underrated game I've played this gen. and I'm hoping for a sequel.

have any of you played xenosaga?
