I sure think so. Everyone rants and raves how they think Jimmy Page is a guitar god, he's ok, but compared to modern day guitarists he is "meh" at best. Same with John Bonham on drums. They just aren't nearly as good as they are made out to be. I always see them in Magazines as "Best band ever". Uh, no.

No, Zeppelin is not overrated.Their music was perfect for the confused era in which it was first released.

It's better for people to tell you how great you are than for you to tell them how great you are.

Hell no, Led Zeppelin is underrated if anything. I know Page isn't the best guitarist but he experimented and developed new sounds. The band itself was experimental and had many different I have Led Zeppelin 1 - 4 and Houses of the Holy on vinyl and I listen to them regularly.

They are easily one of the greatest bands of all time and probably the most influencial in more than one music genre...

I'm not the biggest Led Zepplin fan, but you godda be dense to think of them as overrated.

Was the guitar playing sloppy? Hell yes, but damn, it's sick.

And Bonham overrated? HA! Try to double bass on one foot. Do it.

Pantera is overrated. Metallica is overrated. DragonForce is overrated. Zeppelin? Don't think so.

By the way, the most underrated band out there are the Foo Fighters. They have an immense amount of talent.

I would say that without LZ most of todays bands wouldn't exsist.
