Anyone seen any classic movies on Blu-ray? How the West Was Won just came out and it looks spectacular...

It's better for people to tell you how great you are than for you to tell them how great you are.

The oldest movie I have on Blu-ray so far is Goodfellas and it looks amazing. I'm seriously looking forward to Patton's release.

I don't understand how they can add details to a movie which didn't originally exist, those old films were done with old cameras and due to that had grainy pictures, how is putting them on a better format going to improve them? they'd all have to be completely remastered and improved by computer from start to finish.

Blu-ray won't make a damned bit of difference to 90% of those old films because the companies releasing them aren't usually gonna' bother footing the bill for a complete remaster anyway.

I have Deliverance on Blu-Ray and it looks spectacular.

I have a PS3 and haven't watched a single Blu-ray movie yet. lol

I think I'll start buying Blu-ray movies soon. The Dark Knight will probably be one of the first I buy. Anyone have any movies that are on Blu-ray that they would recommend? Is Blade Runner on Blu-ray, the Indiana Jones movies, or Star Wars? I think I'd also like to get some of the Dirty Harry's and Clint Eastwood westerns if they have them.
