Too all those that say the Wii is overpriced: The Wii continues to sell over 250K per week world wide. The PS3 and 360 are still way behind. The 360 even with the price cut only got up to 125K for the week (not sure if the price cut made it worldwide). Seems like all those saying that the Wii is overprice do not know anything about Economics. Wii continues to sellout. PS3 and 360 sits on shelves. The PS3 is gaining on the 360 until the price cut, but that is just a fight for second place.
Please let's hear a logical arguement about how the Wii is overpriced. I am sure I will get a 100 stupid arguements that the console only costs about 100 bucks to make so it is not worth 250. But, Economics say that everything and anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Just look at SUVs and trucks, 5 years ago they were in high demand and would sell close to MSRP. Now, that gas prices are near 4 bucks, you can get a Dodge Ram for 45 percent off and that is brand new. Don't try to trade in a SUV or truck you will be screwed. So please use logic and not some fanboyism (which I am sure people are going to argue that I am a Nintendo Fanboy). I do not own a Wii. I have made a profit from selling 10 Wiis over the last 2 Christmases and I did buy their stock and am probably going to sell it to buy more Wiis for this Christmas to sell on Ebay. I own a 360. I love playing the 360 on Live especially. So, no fanboyism here. I was hardest on the system I own.

Now I've seen it all. The Wii is by leaps and bounds the most overpriced console on the market. They could be selling that thing for half the price and still be making a profit. Didn't the GC eventually get down to $99 or something like that? The Wii is nearly the same thing.

hmmm... the 360 and ps3 are fun for me... the wii is not...
300-500 of fun (for me) = worth it
200 for something I wouldn't enjoy = not worth it.

Agree.

but the xbox 360 is so boring in 2008 really all exclusives games = FLOP!

With the other two, yet get at least some decent online multiplayer functionality to say the least, and you also get a movie player function for both. For the PS3, that's probably the reason why it's priced as "high" as it is. You get to download classics on all three, but the Wii seems to be a wee (pun intended) bit stronger in that department, when it comes to game numbers.

But of course, the strongest argument from the Nintendo side is "omg innovation and nintendo + motion control = gawd". Rite.

As a strict game console, the Wii is overpriced as hell to me. $200 would be the magic spot.

At least with the other two, you get some other nifty stuff to justify the price.
