It means just that - your Wii becomes a virtual console- virtual cuz its on the screen and not a physical console and - console because it can become either a virtual nes, snes, genesis, mastersystem, turbo grafx 16, NEO GEO, N64. Thats what it means....

Virtual Console is a mimick of the older Nintendo consoles. I honestly think it's a rip off because they are selling old NES titles like Super Mario for crazy amounts of money! Those games stopped selling 15 years ago, and now they are taking advantage of the Wii's large market base... which is smart for them, but I think they charge too much.
