Who says that? Most good computers cost over $4000, then you have to buy a good moniter, and also the games. Whoever says that, they are really, really stupid.

Yeah. Definitely much cheaper to build one yourself, but of course you'd have to know how to do it. And i've never heard anybody in my entire life say that pc gaming is for poor people. It's more expensive to maintain a computer than it is a system because you have to buy new graphic cards and sound cards over time and stuff

Wha? If you want to be a full on PC Gamer that can run everything at max all the time, you have to be nothing less then well off to afford it, and do everything else in your life.
