is it possible to use a regular wifi adapter with a 360, rather than the $100 microsoft one, and still have access to a wireless network?

not unless you want to buy a modded model (costs more than the add-on) which would also void the warranty. looks like you're stuck with expensive the external one. (you can buy one for $85 at costco)

sadly probably not. i have no idea why they won't drop the price on it. i mean, no one is gonna spend $100 forever.

not tht i know of... but there is a way to use your laptop as a wireless adapter.... if you have a laptop tht is....

I did. Actually, I had to. My mom got pretty mad when I had an Ethernet cable trailing over the railing, down the hall, and under a door to the router. Twenty bucks for a 100' Ethernet cable, wasted.

i don't mind paying for LIVE, its the wireless adapter that's stopping me from doing so. and i don't feel the need to run a cord all the way out of my room and down the hallway into my mom's office to get a connection.

my 360 is about 50 feet away from my router..... but its only about 10 feet from my laptop.... what i do is i use the wireless signal from my laptop, bridge the connection between the wireless adapter and ethernet adapter, and connect my 360 to my laptops ethernet port.... so the connection goes from my router, to my laptops wireless adapter, through my ethernet adapter, through and ethernet cord, and into my 360........ works p[perfectly fine too...
