ok, first of all i will admit that i have just bought ninja gainden 2 and played a couple of hours, and so i dont have alot of experience with the series. . .but i have always wanted to know which one is better: ninja gaiden or god of war?. . .i have played all the gow games, and they are good, but i cant say if its better than ninja gaiden, not yet. . .so, which series do you guys think is better?. . .

Gaiden is really good, and it makes you think, but it's nowhere near as Epic as God of War. God of War is also a system seller, Gaiden...not so much.

I have to go with Ninja Gaiden. It has more history and is more hardcore than God of War. God of War has nice boss battles, but Ninja Gaiden has BOSS BATTLES. No button icons to help you out, just balls to the wall action.

Yeah, NG Black is still fucking amazing by today's standards and NG2 takes it to the next level.

Both games are why I bought my ps3 haha. JK, but I'd go with Ninja Gaiden. I like the overall look of it, and I think the game play is perfect. I like it more than GOW also.

i mean, i really like the gow series, but i feel like ninja gaiden has a better combat system. . .the game play is also much harder. . .or may be its just me not used to it yet. . .but gow is still more epic in my opinion. . .

I'm still waiting to play GoW. I'm getting a PSP in a couple days with GoW and I'm excited about that, even though I have a feeling the had-held version isn't as good as the console version. Ninja Gadien 1 for the XBOX was awesome but NG 2 makes it look like shit.

Ninja Gaiden, has the history it has been around since the NES, and has always been action oriented... God of War series is fun and I will get the next GOW game for my PS3, but because Ninja Gaiden has been in the gaming biz since the early 90s and still going strong with NG2 on the 360. so my vote goes to the NInja Gaiden series.

Overall it's God of War for me.
