Back when the 360 came out I bought one. I also bought Gears of War and played it constantly. Until it got old. Then, after a RROD and eating two of my games, my 360 collected dust for a couple of months, and then I sold it and bought a Wii. Played the Wii only when drunk or when I felt like shooting zombies. The games felt more appropriate for a 12 year old, so I gave it to my brothers. Then I bought a PS3 and I've played it everyday ever since, with no problems (aside from the fact that I have a Mac formatted iPod). I think that pretty much sums up how it should go, unless you just want to save money and buy a PS3 first lol.

Same thing happened to my brother PS3. Games got boring, was used for a Blu-Ray player for a while. Then it got sold (Eirlier today) and now he is using the money to buy an Xbox360. The Wii still collects dust...

Akontheorc, providing you with your lowest expectations since '93.
Games can get boring. That's when you get more games, not an entirely new freaking console...

I might be biased because I still own every system I've ever bought.

It wasn't so much that the games got boring. It was the RROD and the fact that the system scratched by Gears of War and Guitar Hero 2 to hell.

Are you sure it just didn't need to be cleaned. that might have prevented the scratching.
