Hey everyone! Im planning on purchasing the mgs4 ps3 bundle next month and was wondering if anyone believed getting extended warranty would be a good idea or a waste of money? i have seen and read online about numerous problems like how the blu-ray drive fails, the problems gta 4 causes etc, etc,. I already suffered the rrod and loss alot of money on that. Has anyone had problems with their ps3 and regret not getting extended warranty?

Is it needed? Probly not, but I still got 4 year warranty with Best Buy.

It felt neccessary to protect my $500 investment......

You know you're paying like 115 or so bucks for a paint job right? If you get the regular 80gb PS3 you'd be getting more value. In answer to your question... yes. "Better safe than sorry" is what I've always heard.

If you got extra money, extended warranty doesn't hurt. But I wouldn't get a extended warranty for PS3. I got a 40GB and works like a charm. Never had an issue. Yeah I got RROD to on my previous XBOX360.

I agree with this statement even though i myself don't have the extended warranty.
