OK hoping there's a simple answer to this. While playing some movies on my PS3, the audio cuts out. This only seems to happen on some Bluray DVDs like 300 and Pirates of the Carribean, but what is causing this??

I have the audio going out through Optical to a receiver, and video through HDMI directly to the TV. I know you can set the Optical audio to Linear PCM to allow prologic instead of digital audio, but that defeats the entire purpose of having digital audio.

Why is it that my XBOX 360's HD DVD player NEVER has audio loss through optical, but the PS3 tends to do it on something like 33% of the Bluray DVDs I have? It's really frustrating. Am I doing something wrong? Will getting a receiver with HDMI in remedy this?
