The PS2 even at this point is still a great investment. If you are into sports games, you might want to consider getting a 360 or PS3 because the good features of NCAA FB 08 will not be found on the PS2 or X-Box...basically those two would be just a rehash of NCAA FB 07 from last year. Also All Pro Football 2K8 looks like at this point it will only grace next gen systems as well. Madden will most likely have a new engine next year. Next year is the year you definately will have to get a PS3 or 360 for sports games. If you are interested in the large PS2 library, the PS2 would be a good start and plus many PS2 games are real cheap new or used at places such as GameStop and EB Games. Basically I think the PS2 will still be a good buy for one more year before it might not make much sense to buy that unless you are a budget gamer.
