I've had no issues with my PS3 so far, but my damn Xbox just died today /sadface.

Oh well I've been playing mostly PS3 lately anyway, but you never know when the GoW itch might strike.

I've really been quite impressed with my PS3 so far. Setting it up to work with your HDTV through HDMI is a bit tricky but once you have it worked out it operates flawlessly. The one thing that really impressed me was that it was incredibly quiet (borederline silent) and ran cooler than I expected. Two things my Xbox knows nothing about lol.

As far as games I am equally impressed with and enjoy my PS3 as compared to my Xbox, the launch titles I have are great for 1st gen products (RFOM really impressed me). I'll still play my box (that is assuming MS replaces it for me, and they damn well better) too, but I can vouche that 90% of the negative things I've read about PS3 haven't materialized for me as an owner of one yet. Controllers work well, looks great, plays for 10+ hours with no noticeable problem. The 10% that was problematic for me was as I said getting it to play nice with my HDMI on my TV. This required me to use analog cables to go in and set up the HDMI out from the XMB on the PS3. Which isn't a big deal except it didn't tell me anything about that in the manual I had to figure it out for myself. Other than that it's great. Graphics look on par with 360 out of launch, and I think once software development harnesses the Cell's abilities this thing is going to shine. Now I'm going to go broke buying all the different Xbox/PS3 exclusive titles lol.

I'd go as far as to say the only problem I can find with PS3 would be not having one. If you like your Xbox, you'll love a PS3 as well. Get over the company specific love and hate BS because you'll be missing out if you like to game and don't get yourself one of these.

Owning both I'd say that if you can't afford a PS3 you'll survive just fine with an Xbox, but if you can save a little here and there I definitely reccomend getting one, if you're a true gamer you won't be dissapointed.

I was just wondering if people were having as much trouble as some others said they would. My ps3 has been working flawlessly. I dont have a 360, I decided to wait for ps3 and I am glad I did. I heard a lot of bad stuff about it, that it would overheat etc.etc. but I only had one problem with it that was fixed with one of the upgrades. and yes, Resistance: FOM is badass.
