I have to agree with you there! The graphics, the intrigue of the story. It was one of the only games that I actually used to record myself on and be able to watch it as a movie and enjoy it! (Bah - I was a kid with a VCR and a LOT of old VHS stock). I would pause the game when the tape stopped and pop in another one and get going.

I loved the way that it really brought the moral question into the game. Not all the choices were cut and dry. It was one of the first games that tried to have consequences for your actions (light/dark side of Hyrule). I think that they need to take that one step further. There needs to be some chaos in the games. I'm actually wanting to write a zelda game that has a lot of this in there. Its taking a long time, but I'll be using one of the zelda engines that is on the net (anyone have any suggestions?).

Anywho - good choice. I could go on and on about Link to the Past - way too many hours on that game for me!

I'd have to say that this is a no-brainer. Link to the Past all the way. Minish cap had better graphics, the Oracle of Seasons/Ages were more challenging, but LTTP was one of the definitive Zelda games. As far as I'm concerned, the only Zelda games that stick to the formula are The Legend of Zelda (NES), Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Princess. While I still loved most of the rest, they're kind of 'out there' for lack of a better phrase.

All your game are belong to us.
