Sigh.

It's weird and it's simple -- that's what it has going for it. But Nintendo's definitely taking a big risk.

I think a better name would've been "Nintendo Touch" or "Nintendo Move." Something like that.

Who knows? I hated PlayStation when I first heard it, and now I can't think of a game console name I love more (except Atari, maybe).

Maybe they're geniuses. ::shrug::

Do you guys remember the Knights Who Say Wii from The Holy Grail? Prophetic man, truly prophetic.:)

Isn't it "The Knights Who Say Ni"

It should come with a pronounciation key, the name of the system that is.

I call 'em as I see 'em comin'
Yeah, it is but still for some reason that popped into my head right away and started thinking all the N fans could become the Wii Knights. It's early, I just got up, heh heh.

It sounds like a gaming clan, if the Rev gets some kind of MMO.

I call 'em as I see 'em comin'
Well, Nintendo just made it very easy for forumers to crack on Wii fans with that name. The word Wii, there are so many things you can do with it, heh heh. First the purse, now this.

Actually, Wii is growing on me. The more I think about it (and shout Wii out loud), the more I like it. The spelling is just bugging me...

I am guessing it is pronounced "We"..is that right?

I call 'em as I see 'em comin'
Personally, I like it. It's just one more example of how Nintendo wants to differentiate themselves from the other two.

In time, people will get used to it. And I agree with the poster that said the Playstation name sounded lame at first too, but turned out to be a good name.

They could launch a handheld version of it later and call it the MiniWii.:)
