I extremely happy. Now the GC will get its fair share of good RPG's.

Well, the dreams of fanboys everywhere have come true, and Square and Nintendo have finally settled their differences. For details, check our news story online. What's the general consensus? Is this great? Is this bad? Is this something you don't care about?

If the games are successful and get great reviews, it was worth it. But then Metroid, Star Fox, Zelda won't be big games anymore.

I think it's better for Square than anybody, since they will need a LARGE install base to pull of FF11 the way they want to online--that means PS2, PC, GC, and Xbox if they can swing it. PS2, yes. PC, sure looks like they could if they wanted. GC has online capabilities but Nintendo, as usual, is mum about plans--so maybe that's part of the reason for this reconciliation. And Xbox is online ready out of the box, so who knows?

Either way it's good for Square and good for Square's fans. And ultimately it will be good for Nintendo as well. After all, Nintendo does pride itself on offering rich content with a wide age appeal--what is FF if not exactly that?
