I swear, the people who get these RROD must rap their 360's in towels when they play them because i have never had the RROD and I have had my system since launch. Also, none of my XBL friends have ever gotten the RROD. So, either these people on GP are lying about getting the RROD five million times, or they rap their 360's in towels or play them in fully carpeted oven-type boxes.

It is true people dont read manuals that say you have to keep your room air conditioned and the xbox 360 elevated on a flat surface where it can breath

Alot of people just try to make it look like the xbox360 gets rrod a lot but they are just sony fanboys. I got RROD 2ce becasue of major dust problem.

Yeah, dust might do it. That's why the manual says keep the system and power brick in an air conditioned dust and smoke free area.

yea ive yet to even get a disc read error and i got mine in june of 07, even in its worst condition (when a roommate left it on for the 4 days i went home continuously.. what a dick, right?) it didnt give me a single problem, and never has

I have never gotten the RROD once and I've had it for a little longer than a year and only one of my friends out of ten of them has gotten the RROD, but only because he treated it like crap, but took it back to Best Buy and hasn't had ony problems with it since.

i have 4 360's i got at launch and none of them have ever had the RROD, it's exaggerated by sony fanboys.

Well, even if you do keep them clean and far away from walls and other things, it is a problem.

a lot of people here get rrod because they abuse the shit out of them because they play eight hours a day.

Just don't treat your 360 like shit and it will last for awhile. It's not that hard, but people still do it?
