Well just today I got the red ring of death after i had borrowed halo 2 from my friend. I had noticed it had many scratches on it but though nothing of it. So i popped it in and played a game or 2 then it froze. This did not surpise me because well, the game had many scratches on it. Then I turned it on again, and this time my dashboard froze. This was very odd. Then I turned it off and turned it back on and then it happened. RED RING OF DEATH. I decided to then get on my lab top and look up some ways to fix it. I found the towel trick. I got some towels and went back to my room and turned on my 360 when suddenly it was working. I had done nothing. I said oh well, i could care less cuz as long as it works im fine. I popped in halo 2 again and it froze yet again. I spoke a lil french and then took out the game and turned it back on and of course, red ring of death again. I then looked more into the fixing of the towel trick and found out that the towel trick can actually ruin your 360 so i decided not to do it after all. Then i found some french guy on youtube and he was saying how apparently if you have red ring of death, and your av cable box thingy ma'jig is green, your 360 is plain toast. Well i lookked, and YAY it was toast. I now am deciding what to do. Im looking more towards to counting my losses and just sell my harddrive and games and not waste the money to send it in and wait 6 weeks. Any other ideas for me what to do? Or you can share your red ring of death story, or...NIGHTMARE
