I like the good shooter with a good storyline, but GTA 3 didn't live up to my standards. Is GTA 4 a little less about the gang wars, or does it have more than that?

If you didn't like GTA III you may not like it. GTA is kinda like The Godfather in game form. They all follow that same formula. I've heard that the story is much better than in past games and focuses more on the main character, but I'm sure it still has a lot of gang activity.

Not really gang wars in this one (at least not like GTA3). Just watch the GP video review (on the main page). Almost 10 minutes, but it will probably help you.

Of course u should, that if u could find a copy, it's tons of fun, even if u don't follow the game story, it is a great multiplayer experience

DONT LISTEN. They have it all wrong.

GTA IV is nothing about "Gangsta" or rap, it has a huge storyline with huge Life or Death chioices thrown in all anytime.

P.S. You can visit strip clubs :)

Well the whole formula hasn't changed much. You haven't played Vice City or San Andreas either?

I agree that the formula hasn't changed much, but the game isn't all about the hacking/shooting in the head like the others.

This GTA is about the story (which is great)

P.S. AWESOME animations from the euphoria engine. Get hit by car and you fly. Plus, he walks so cool now, like in real life.

You know what I freakin hate, is that you cant stand on moving vehicles anymore. I was so looking forward to riding around on top shooting people.

You can, they just drive franticly and know you off then run you down.

Plus, if you do it on a cop car, they SHOOT you off.

if you are lookin' for a shooter with a good storyline, than GTA games aren't it. if all you like is going around and shooting people, well, what is fun for you, sounds boring to me.
