Here's my tale. For my birthday, all I wanted was a Wii. Wii, Wii, Wii. But soon afterwards, I picked up an old copy of Gamepro...the one that featured all the stuff about Halo 3, like all the weapons and the vehicles. I soon found myself intoxicated. I had to have it. The only thing was, the only systems I had were the PS2 and the Wii. Even with the recent price drop, the X360 was still $350 plus tax, and I was broke. My allowance was $15 a week. Drastic Measures had to be taken. So, I sold my PS2 and all my games and two controllers plus a memory card to my local Gamestop, who, to my great surprise gave me $255 in credit for it all. Now, even with that, I still needed approximately...well, a lot more money plus tax. So, I began paying off a debt to my mom, and after that was done, saving. However, I still wanted more. My parents agreed to pay me $25 a week if I took a babysitting course, so I did. As you all know, Halo 3 came out today. I persuaded my Dad to pick it up from Wal-Mart for me (with my recently saved money). He came home looking forlorn, saying they had already sold out. Responding with a "Yeah, I thought they might've," I sadly began cleaning up the house before I went to bed. But soon, I saw him whispering to my sister. I was handed a Wal-Mart bag. I felt the shape inside, and knew my dad had tricked me. I opened it. I savored the manual, the box, the disc. And I lay it in my room. But I still need four more weeks of waiting, plus my mom is going to let me pay some off on the fifth week. Now I'm thinking about you people that have X360s...sigh...

So I ask you, which among you have similar situations, either technical or financial, that prevent you from playing this obviously awesome game?

I cant play till friday (lord willing) because i ordered mine form wal-mart.com......but it took me soooo long to get a 360...here is my story...............................

I went to a walmart supercenter.....the day is launch day of the 360's, i get there , plenty of people there, but i still had hope........but they sold out. I got a PSP instead. That didnt satisfy my hunger for Call of Duty 2, so i started saving, then i had a yard sale adn i finally after 6 months i had gotten a 360. so i guess you could say we had sorta of teh same problems.

almost same story here. i have the game but no 360...though in two weeks i will have it as an advance for my birthday!!
