I just got off the phone with microsoft, so I thought I would help people out by letting you know how long everything takes. The person on the help line said they would mail me a box to put my 360 in to send to them. he also said it would take about 3 weeks. I live in Big Sandy, Tx, about 2 hours east of Dallas. I heard that the repair center is in Tx. I will keep everyone posted as I get the box and send it out and receive it. Plus if the new box works.

Today is Sep 18th, at 4pm Central time.

I feel for you, but if you purchased it after finding out there was a issue with the 360; I'll call you a idiot! So which is it?

I think I asked this earlier in someone elses topic. Someone said that every time they change the site, updates, format, etc, everything gets reset, or something like that. But yeah, I have been here awhile.

All together it took mine 2 weeks and three days. That was a month ago. 1 week time to recieve the box in the mail. 3 days to send it back, the box is sent back 3 day mail. took 4 days to repair and 3 days exactly to recieve it back in the mail.

Well, at the time I got it, the issue was not that big yet. I thought it was just people screwing up their machines and having hardware failures due to sitting their 360 on top of vcr and dvd players, causing overheating. But since it gets fixed for free, what does it matter?

It matters because people are still buying these crappy machines. It proves that the people who continue to purchase these systems aren't very bright. The smart thing to do is to wait until the problem is fixed.
