Why is Gears better than the Rainbow?

I mean, they are both amazing games. They both use the cover system. Rainbow Six has a better story. In my opinion Rainbow Six has a better cover system. The graphics are comparable. Rainbow Six has more features like customizable guns. Rainbow Six is longer. There is more you can do with your team in Rainbow Six. Granted Gears of War has the Chainsaw bayonet, where Rainbow Six has no melee. They both have online and offline co-op. Rainbow Six can hold more people. Rainbow Six has more modes. Rainbow Six has terrorist hunt. WHY DO PEOPLE PREFER GEARS OF WAR? I dont mind, I have both and like them both, i just prefer Rainbow Six. thoughts?

true.. and the gore is a nice effect.

Vegas may have all of that but Gears is just more fun to play and that is what really matters.

i for one prefer Rainbow Six. Is it the challenging tactical features that Rainbow Six offers and the more Run n Gun type of play Gears of War offers? (BTW, I cannot wait for Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway to come out, it should be up there with Rainbow Six)

Run n' Gun in Gears of War? Ummm, no. Try that and you are dead in a few seconds. GOW is all about cover. Apparently you have not actually played it because what you just said is an obvious giveaway.

no, i meant run n gun as in you dont rely on your team as much as in rainbow 6

That has nothing to do with run n' gun. And I think the squad members in Gears help quite a bit, even though they can be dumb as doorknobs sometimes. If nothing else they help in that all of the fire isn't directed at you.

alright, i worded it wrong. but maybe its because Rainbow Six can be more tactical when it comes to the alternate routes.

The funniest thing about the squad AI in Gears to me is Dom. I swear it seems to me like he is the dumbest member on the team. Maybe I'm imagining it but Baird and Cole don't seem to do as many stupid things in combat as he does. At times Dom can be borderline retarded, lol. I don't know, maybe Epic gave them different AI profiles. Maybe Dom is considered fearless and that's why he runs right up to enemies all the time with no cover like a blithering idiot. Or like I said before, maybe I'm just imagining a difference.

oh, the humour also sets the game apart. Cole is definatly my favourite. Mainly cause he is Terry Tate Office Linebacker (if you were smart, you'd look this up) and he is very funny. They seem like the same game, but they are almost opposites.
