  • Anyone Else Annoyed by the Lack of Multiplayer 360 Games (without Xbox Live)

Post a Reply

My Church has had an Xbox 360 (basic) for almost a year now, we have 2 wired controllers and Burnout. We do not have Xbox Live. Recently my friends and I have been looking for games to rent that we can play mulitplayer. Each time we go to rent a game we are frustrated by the lack of quality titles with multiplayer functions. Its seems like 80% of 360 games are one player, with any multiplayer mode only avaiable through Xbox Like.

Does anyone else wish that their were more good Xbox 360 games that had multiplayer or co-op modes without Xbox Live?

your church?

yeah i can see why anyone would be annoyed and fustrated about the limits of the 360. But i think MS is trying to get people away from the side-by-side co-op teams and have the gamers feel a little but more of what the feel is when you are actually on the battlefield and having to call each member back and forth with information. I do agree with you that, what about the people who are right there bside you?!?! maybe MS will notice the complaints in the future and take some action....

Quality Over Quantity....indeed
I work at a church and we currently own an Xbox, Xbox 360 and are waiting to get a Wii... we previously have had a PS2 and a Gamecube

Maybe my expectations for the 360 were out of line; the best part of the Xbox for me was all the multiplayer games like Fusion Frenzy, Halo, and others that could be played with 4 people and are still a blast to play. On 360 the only options are racing games (most of which only support 2 players) and sports game (that *to me* have limited appeal)

I have to say I am looking forward to getting a Wii because I know it will have a lot of games that will be fun for 4 players (without having to go online to play with them)

If you want to know a few good multiplayer games, try looking into a few of these, they usually feature multiplayer/co-op modes:

Dead or Alive 4 - great fighting game between any two players.

Call of Duty 2 and 3 - Great multiplayer shoot out.

Fight Night Round 3 - Boxing is always better with friends

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - Awesome co-op gameplay.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Having three friends and control super heroes, come one who doesn't want to play that.

Perfect Dark Zero - Not that great of multiplayer, but it's decent.

Rainbow Six: Vegas - I hear great things with Vegas. I been meaning to pick this up sometime soon.

Those are the one I like. Also those are the one I can think of now. If I remember any more with good multiplayer, I post back

*waves hand* I know that annoys me to no end! I like multiplayer, but only if I'm playing with people I already know! Which means I don't even touch Xbox Live.

Thanks for the list of co-op games Blackbolt!

V_O_R Top Friend Sig!
You can call it an action figure. He has action. He falls down a lot.

If you work in a church video games should not be of any concern to you. You should be asking if there are any religious based games that can further help you becomome the best Christian Possible.

May the lord be with you.

I was jsut kidding i dont care if you brign fighting games into Church.

My concern is that people still go to Church. Isn't religion going away....

Thanks for the Feedback,

For the record, we mainly stick to racing, sports and other type games for use before our church service... Because I work at the church my friends and I do use the 360 to just play games for fun at other times... (thats where my gripe mainly comes from)

Thanks for the list of multiplayer games, although I have to disagree about Call of Duty Multiplayer being fun.. I've played it and thought it was boring...
